Having two brokerages will increase your SIPC insurance cover, in the event of another 2008 crisis: [https://www.sipc.org/for-investors/what-sipc-protects](https://www.sipc.org/for-investors/what-sipc-protects) JPM has in-house derivatives trading. That means the bank is on the hook for any losses racked up by its trading subsidiaries - the way Lehman Bros and Bear Sterns were in 2008. …
Anyone know if IBKR would let me sell my SPY options contracts in pre-market?
Well first of all, you could just give it someone else to manage. Minimise the risk, and the time and sleepless nights. Or put it an a safe index fund like S&P or VWRP. At your age, you really don’t want to be taking on too much risk as it’s …
Need your insights Retired 66 y. old with small small pension got USD 100 000 from heritage. Would like to have your opinion how to invest them. The best way to get study return. Your portfolio type. I am a young beginner (laugh), have a IBKR account London platform. Thanks …
There are 760,000 shortable shares on IBKR alone. The fuck are you talking about?
Fuck, this stock doesn't exist on moomoo Knew I should have stuck with IBKR
Which mobile broker or charting app has interface like IBKR pro? Hey everyone. I currently use IBKR pro and I love it for phone but desktop and iPad version aren’t for me. What I like on IBKR is the way prices reflected and updated each 0.01 sec and also post …
Can’t seem to find the ADR GGGSY on IBKR?
I have no idea where the market is heading but I think its getting overheated... Recently, a newsletter from WSJ editor Jason Zweig stated that Mag 7 stocks are heavily invested in AI, funded from their internal cash flow and now they are looking for more borrowing as well. If …
Maybe IBKR
You could literally just trade this on Polymarket or IBKR with their Smart Contracts. No need to buy janky ETFs or individual stock plays.
Robinhood has rates currently at 4.75% for ~150K of amount borrowed but they don't offer trust accounts. IBKR is pretty much close to that as you can get. I have no complaints with them as a broker. Worst case you can always like-kind transfer assets back if you're not happy.
What's the best financial institution to get a loan based on pledged stock assets? Here's my situation. I've got about $900K in a non-IRA (Schwab) in an Irrevocable Trust (I'm the sole Beneficiary & Trustee if that matters - the Trust itself is complex, but pretty much allows me to …
I built a auto trader bot that was killing it on IBKR, but then I saw those fees. So I changed to slow and steady ML algos to help me decide when to trade. As alot of people said the spread and the fees will get you and that might …
you can use IBKR or Ic market
Isn’t the margin on a box limited to excess liquidity capping you at 2:1? How are you getting past the limit in IBKR?
I have been looking into it lately and honestly it’s kinda decent if you already got a chunk invested. The points aren’t crazy or anything but they do stack a bit over time since everything’s held at IBKR anyway so nothing weird going on. The only thing is the monthly …
Does IBKR Make Small Accounts Unnecessarily Hard to Trade With? Hi everyone, I’m currently learning to trade with a small account ($800) on Interactive Brokers, focusing on swing trading with the occasional intraday opportunity. I chose a cash account specifically to avoid PDT restrictions and trade freely with settled funds. …
IBKR TWS.
BYND reloaded? Why is BYND pumpkin again? Today's volumes on IBKR 260M !
IBKR is terrible had nothing but problems with them. They have terrible customer service and you can’t leverage a position, had 130k in an account and was forbidden to have a decent gold position.
There aren't any brokers with "unlimited" leverage, no. Normally they're in the range of 10:1 or below. I think ThinkorSwim that I use is 4:1. I used to use IBKR but switched..
CMC markets, Oanda, IBKR are my "top regulated" If you want more leverage, if you are not in Ontario, Fusion markets is great .. They are, what i call. "softly regulated" in a small country in eastern Africa. I personally never had a issue with them in 3 years.
IBKR
I usually backtest over at least 200 *last* days by starting a python code that fetches for me all the necessary data from IBKR like candles, volume etc. It's also always interesting to check on bullish/bearish markets and e.g. with different trends. Such a testing gives me a lot of …

That volume is considerably low for BTC. Have you looked at IBKR? https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/open-account-country-list.php
I think most platforms APIs are an absolute mess. I think this is on purpose. Many platforms that also offer advisement services don’t necessarily want DIY traders, so the data is generally a mess. IBKR does a great job providing additional data and transparency but their APi is still a …
There are 7.4 million shortable shares at .43% available on IBKR alone and the market cap is over $4 billion. 0 chance for a short squeeze.
I'd recommend IBKR as the strongest option for your needs. They offer the most comprehensive global market access (all markets you mentioned), multi-currency accounts (supports USD, EUR, THB and 20+ others), competitive FX rates (0.002% vs 0.1%+ at others), and strongest financial position (publicly traded, $10B+ market cap). For ETF …
I'd go with IBKR for US stocks in Alberta, especially for your TFSA. Wealthsimple charges 1.5% currency conversion fees each way which really adds up for US securities. IBKR has much lower forex fees (around 0.002%), better execution, and more investment options. Tax reporting is straightforward with both platforms, but …
