You ride the same stock for decades you have insanely high gain. I have relatives who had LLY,JNJ,XOM since the early 90s- they did very well just get some big mega company like that and sit on it forever.

I don't regret any tbh. You cannot time or predict the market. I did recently buy LLY in the $600s and sold it in the $800s. Now it is over $1,000. But I do not regret selling it.
